About Sydney

  • Hello, my name is Sydney. In April 2009 I was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. It’s a blood disease where my bone marrow does not produce the proper amount of all the blood cells the body uses. After having numerous transfusions of blood and platelets the doctors decided to put me through an immune suppressive medication therapy to hopefully trick my bone marrow into working properly, again. Now, after a brief period of remission I have relapsed and now the best course of action for my health is to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

My family and friends are putting together a one-day fun filled benefit; to help our family through this process. The day of fun and hope will consist of golf, a barbeque, live music, an auction and blood drive. I want to thank you ahead of time through this letter for your contribution due to the fact that I may not be able to attend. My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God bless you all.
